Masonry Heaters with Baking Ovens

A “white” oven means that the fire does not pass through the baking chamber.  The heat is transferred to the Oven through the oven’s walls.  This allows baking during firing, and keeps fly ash out of the baking area.

A “black” oven means the the fire passes directly through the baking chamber.  Baking during firing is not possible.

Roywood core design includes a white baking oven option.  The temperature in the oven exceeds 500F degrees during firing and is sustained at or above 350 for approximately 6 hours.
